Duties & Functions:Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communicationDevelop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and ReservationsDevelop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP’s, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales teamMeet or exceed set goalsOperate the Sales Department within established sales expense budgetInitiate and follow up on leadsMaintain and participate in an active sales solicitation programMonitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your marketContact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of the Account Coverage ProgramMeet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of SalesInvite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspectionsAssist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segmentsBe familiar with all MHG sales policiesConduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the propertyFashion, Cosmetics, Retail, Auto, and Financial Sales MarketsSpecific Job Knowledge & Skills:Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredThree years of hotel sales experience preferredAbility to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have high-level attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMaintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departmentsAbility to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamworkThorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations.
