MGR – Senior Sales Manager – Commercial Steel – Remote

Title: Senior Sales Leader
– Commercial Steel Industry Location: Remote in the USA Salary: Open ($100-150K Bonus) depending on experience No sponsorship available The senior manager/director of Business Development manages all incoming RFQ and new project requests for existing and new customers, in addition to managing existing contracts, conducting internal analysis of company projects, and seeking new opportunities.

The position ensures customer satisfaction while seeking new work at targeted returns, protecting the company through contract negotiations, and managing existing site needs through contract maturation.

Additionally, this person will is tasked with reaching out to new prospective clients and ensuring that we are considered on any upcoming projects.

Primary Responsibilities Compile and generate financial analyses, proposals and board level documentation in response to RFQs and customer requests.

Interact with the customer to understand customer and project needs.

Apply technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve assigned engineering problems.

Develop cost and productivity estimates and review estimates for all jobs to ensure the most cost-efficient processes and equipment are being employed.

Generate financial models to understand project financials and create supporting documentation to prove project viability.

Contribute to and manage designing the layout of operating sites, along with creating an operating plan to ensure maximum efficiency of personnel, equipment, materials and workspace.

Develop and review legal documents to ensure fairness and protect the Company’s interest.

Develop appropriate documentation of findings, recommend solutions and communicate results.

Identify new business opportunities, assess project viability, and prepare appropriate documents.

KSA’s Required Problem Solving/Analysis Business and Leadership Acumen Teamwork Orientation Project Management Technical Capacity Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout a rapidly evolving, multi-faceted environment.

The individual must have a very strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with AutoCAD is also desired.

Candidates must demonstrate the capability of developing clear, concise reports and charts to track and present results or proposals.

Above average report writing, oral communication, and presentation skills are a must.

The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of material handling, mobile equipment, and continuous improvement.

Able to travel domestically and international.

Time management must be exceptional to ensure project deadlines are reached while overseeing multiple projects at a time.

Candidates must display excellent analytical and detail-oriented traits.

Candidates should hold a proficient understanding of company financials (income statement, P&L, IRR, etc.).

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

This role also regularly visits and tours heavy industrial settings requiring a sense of high-level safety reverence using the required PPE for the environment.

Required Education And Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Project/Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or relevant field.

At least 3 years’ experience with a wide array of materials and processes.

Preferred Education And Experience PMP or similar certification Financial certification or background Expertise working in the steel, aggregate and/or mining industries is a plus IND 009-005
