A hybrid digital kitchen and food hall platform, C3 is on track to grow to 300+ kitchens and 14 brands by December 2021.

C3’s current brands include: Umami Burger, Sam’s Crispy Chicken, Krispy Rice, Plant Nation and Ella Mia, with several limited and full-service concepts created by C3’s chef partners launching in early 2021.

And…you will bring your magic to our new concept EllaMia, a bakery and café, to develop and oversee our retail merchandising.

Working closely with our Culinary, Operations, and Marketing Teams you will ensure that we offer a thoughtfully curated selection of retail items that will delight our guests and drive the business forward.

Essential Functions

This role is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of all retail merchandising.

Position will oversee assortment planning, management of vendor relationships, create, monitor and maintain all aspects of merchandising, including field services and partnerships.

Develop programs that drive increased customer loyalty, product sales, and overall profit growth, incorporating the 5Rs – right merchandise, right place, right time, right quantities and right price.

Responsibilities / Duties
Curate, source and supply an elegant, exciting and differentiated assortment of merchandising products.

Products may either be EllaMia branded or sourced from other brands that align with EllaMia’s vision and positioning.  In close coordination with development team, brand director and operators, select and arrange store displays to maximize visual impacts and drive sales.  Through careful data analysis, regularly identify areas of improvement and propose comprehensive action plans to drive higher ticket without compromising the brand.

Develop and execute production and purchasing strategies.

Own pricing and budgeting for this piece of the business.

Analyze key metrics from Sales & Inventory Reports to make informed purchasing/replenishment decisions.

Manage QA for the brand and relationships with vendors as needed, ensuring that everything presented in the stores reflects positively on the brand.  Identify and lead new brand partnerships to enhance the overall assortment and offerings.

Maintain vendor relationships, troubleshooting when necessary, and acting as the liaison between the brand and our cross-functional partners.

Collaborate with Culinary, Operations and Marketing teams on brand, category and seasonal promotional strategies.

Lead integrated merchandising strategies and overall marketplace to maximize the potential in each market.

Skills
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a similar F&B and retail environment.  Experience in identifying target audiences, their interests and needs, and providing products of interest.

Demonstrated ability to take charge and get things done with minimal supervision.  Proven ability to handle multiple projects at one time, meet tight deadlines and manage ambiguity.  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly, excel and Power Point.

A strong understanding of product innovation, strategic marketing and operations.

Outstanding communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal.

Requirements

Work Authorization

Must be able to provide documentation that shows you are authorized to work in the United States.

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Education / Experience / Credentials

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant experience in in a similar F&B and retail environment.

It is the employee’s responsibility to secure and maintain current status of all required certificates, licenses, or registrations when required by local, state, or federal government agencies. 

Language

Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and interpret business documents in the English language.

Travel

This position can be based in either Los Angeles at our Corporate Office or San Francisco/Bay Area as a remote position.

If based in the Bay Area, it is expected that you travel to the Corporate Office on average, two (2) days every other week.

If based in Los Angeles, you must have access to reliable transportation locally, as this position also requires some time to be spent at the corporate office and at times, business units locally. 

Position also requires the ability to travel nationally, to multiple business units, as needed.

You will be expected to visit locations as needed to ensure proper execution of the merchandising strategy you will have elaborated and perform market intelligence to keep our efforts relevant. 

COVID-19 Precautions

Although there is flexibility to work remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are times that require your presence at the Corporate Office.

Personal protective equipment is always required when at the office, as well as following social distancing guidelines, and health and safety measures of hand sanitizing and cleaning procedures.
