MEP Project Manager

Hire Resolve has a new opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join and lead our clients Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Construction team in Los Angeles, CA.

Our client is looking for someone who loves managing large construction projects and is passionate about safety.

The candidate should be ready and willing to work on multi-million-dollar MEP projects, while still being building relationships and leading the rest of the team.

Responsibilities:
Understand building systems and coordinate trade activity on the project.

The MEP Project Manager will manage the project from beginning to end including: budget, costs, schedule, risk management, insurances, general work performance and quality, and overall progress against the plan.

Understand complete building systems scope including Bid Documents, VE, Addenda, owner’s equipment, etc.

Monitor subtrade safety and have a working knowledge of construction safety.

Understand P&ID drawings.

Review all A/E specifications, drawings, etc.

to ensure technical and code requirements for material, equipment and field activities are met.

Build excellent relationships with owner, architect, consultants and trade.

Perform quality control and monitor programs for Building Systems trades by witnessing testing and recording progress.

Review RFI’s for content and expediting responses from other team members.

Verify progress payments of Building Systems Trade contractors.

Manage M&E subtrade change process, review change pricing, and validate/process extra work costs.

Lead coordination and commissioning meetings.

Organize and execute in all facets of project close-out, including; systems start up, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance manuals, spare part inventory, deficiencies and warranty work.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of California is preferred.

5+ years of experience in the Construction industry on large scale Commercial, Retail and Industrial projects.

Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously.

Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
