WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
In support of the Marketing, Product and Digital division, the Marketing Risk Managers responsibilities are to identify, assess and mitigate risks and be a key driver of the division’s strong risk culture and discipline; ensure the division is in compliance with all internal frameworks, policies, standards and requirements, as well as applicable laws and regulations; manage the division’s engagement in internal audits, regulatory exams and related improvements; and manage documentation of internal policies, procedures, processes and controls.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Work collaboratively within the division and with stakeholders and business partners to intake, manage and execute on risk and regulatory initiatives and deliverables
- Facilitate the division’s engagement in internal audits and regulatory exams
- Identify and document key internal processes and help identify and remediate gaps and improvements
- Assess internal documentation against enterprise requirements and document and remediate gaps Manage and maintain repository of internal documentation, e.g., processes, controls, policies and procedures Investigate self-identified or regulatory issues impacting the division to assess potential systemic or control weaknesses and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Coordinate the completion of risk-mitigating actions and provide status updates to management as appropriate Comply fully with all applicable City National Bank policies, procedures, frameworks and standards, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Complete all required training as assigned
- Work on other projects as requested
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in banking or financial services industry required
- Minimum 5 years corporate and/or product compliance experience required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint – including PowerPoint
Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
- Excellent customer facing and communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize workload according to business needs
- Some travel to offices across the region as/when needed
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, planning and organization skills
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Ability to develop and establish credibility and rapport with colleagues within the division and across the enterprise
