Luma Pictures is a globally renowned and independent creative studio, bringing magic to acclaimed movies like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, and more for nearly 20 years.

In 2015, we founded Luma Launch, a leading early-stage venture fund that invests in notable startups helping build a better world.

Luma Features is actively developing and producing highly imaginative and emotionally rich original films.

And in 2020, we established Luma Legacy—our altruistic venture pursuing initiatives to help improve the root causes to society’s core problems.

 

And now we’re excited to add a Marketing and Communications Manager to the team!

 

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will work across all departments within Luma to oversee the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the business.

 

This role is open for either our LA or Melbourne studio.   

The Luma team is currently working from home, but the successful candidate should be open to relocation to either LA or Melbourne in the future.

Develop marketing strategies for the Luma brand and individual business segments (Features, Pictures, Legacy and Launch) Work closely with department leadership to plan, execute, and track internal/external marketing and communication initiatives, such as email, CRM, social, PR, experiential, sales materials, and content marketing Oversee the maintenance and updating of the company website in both content and functional capabilities  Drive the social media presence of Luma and it’s segments, implementing strategies and creating content designed to improve brand awareness and industry recognition Analyse market/industry trends and synthesize various data into key insights, opportunities, and recommendations Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis and create comprehensive reports and recommendations  Support the maintenance and development of internal tools, including tracking capability, global contact directory, and project management tools Manage external stakeholder, vendor and/or agency relationships related to Marketing responsibilities  Liaise with external PR team to coordinate meetings, interviews, and delivery of required materials Oversee and manage Marketing budgets and project timelines Manage creative services team to consistently create and deliver quality content  Lead all awards campaigns for Pictures and Features teams, and help to determine appropriate entries for projects in collaboration Production stakeholders.

You have:
5+ years of marketing / brand management experience at a studio, creative agency, brand or production facility  Bachelor or Masters degree in Marketing strongly desired OR equivalent experience proven  Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of delivering campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to team Knowledge or experience within a film, production, visual effects or start-up environment preferred  Confident and driven and with a track record of being a dynamic leader Innovative thought leader with the ability to spot unique branding opportunities Please note: Applications without links to portfolios or samples of campaign work will not be considered
