Duties
Project manage agency market research team to work on client and internal data projects Break down complex data sets into digestible pieces for other members of the agency team Write, edit, or oversee white papers and data reports for both clients and our internal platforms Manage overall department priorities and growth, including hiring new team members Collaborate with writers, designers, developers, and PR team members to create evergreen reports Oversee new ways to enrich and repackage third-party datasets for new use cases Research consumer insights “in the wild” by rapidly deploy digital + social initiatives Research customer insights for niche B2B verticals by identifying and reach industry audiences
Requirements (unless you convince us otherwise)
5+ years of market research experience in the agency, consultancy, or in-house setting Desire to push market research forward and the ability to think creatively about how we use data Exceptional verbal skills for explaining insights to clients Exceptional written skills for help author or edit market research reports Exceptional organizational and team management skills, especially coordinating cross-functional teams Ability to help visualize data insights to spread stories to less technical audiences A working knowledge of data mining, data cleaning, and web scraping Advanced Excel skills or other ways to manipulate data Some understanding of database and statistical languages such as SQL, R, Stata and/or Python A familiarity with a variety of data visualization and mapping tools, such as Datawrapper and Highcharts A familiarity with advanced visualization skills in tools such as Tableau and D3.js BS, or BFA in statistics, applied mathematics, journalism, engineering, or other field in the sciences TOP is an integrated agency network providing powerful and full-service solutions for the world.
