Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security is looking for a strong Manufacturing Manager to support the Fixed Wing Aircraft Operations in Tukwila, WA.

The selected candidate will enable teams to achieve and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes safety, quality, accountability, trust and teamwork.Position Responsibilities:Managing or working to safety, quality and manufacturing performance data.

Engages Go for Zero and Incident Injury Free principles.Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.Conveys organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of organizational goals and monitors performance metricsProactively communicates with senior managers, peers and customers.Effectively leads Plant Centric Operations team and multi-disciplined support staff to positively impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Understand the impact of “Cut the CoRRS” and own your team’s process implementations to continue driving First Time Quality.Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve Safety, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction.Remove roadblocks for teams, while mentoring them to do the same for themselves.

Engage, coach and develop employees to thrive in a team environment.Manages, develops, and motivates employees in an open and inclusive environment that engages teams and aligns with One Boeing values and behaviorsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) / hourly union-represented workforce.Proficient with Microsoft office programs.Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.Experience leading team in production/manufacturing environment.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience implementing lean principles.More than three (3) years leading or managing projects/programs.More than three (3) years of manufacturing experience.One year of leadership experience (team lead, project lead or manager).Experience using a computers such as email and Microsoft Suite of tools, Word, Excel and Outlook.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):At least one year Management experienceThree (3) years’ experience in aircraft electrical installation and troubleshooting.More than three (3) experience working with cross functional teams.Experience implementing Lean principles.Ability to inspire teamsMust be available to work rotating shift.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US CitizenshipRelocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
