As a Managing Director/Business Development Officer IV
– Steel City within PNC’s Business Credit Group, you will be based in Los Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA or possibly Dallas, TX.
PNC Business Credit is a leading provider of senior secured financing to support acquisitions, recapitalizations, expansion and business transformation.

We seek a senior level business credit professional with cash flow lending expertise who will leverage our services for cash flow situations through Steel City Capital funding, First Out Priority and Super Priority cash flow revolvers, financing to sponsor-backed technology companies with established recurring revenue, seamless cross-border and domestic financing for companies through the US, Canada and the UK and utilize a full range of complementary financial solutions from capital markets to treasury management.

A degree in accounting, finance or economics preferred, but not required.
Job Description
Leads business development activities for credit-based products through active solicitation and cultivation of highly complex client relationships.

Leverages a highly developed network within assigned market area.

Works independently and may mentor other team members.

Prospects, maintains and leverages a highly developed network.

This includes dialogues with sponsor groups, financial intermediaries, businesses, accountants, attorneys, banks, and additional Centers of Influence.

Performs complex credit structuring and analyzes financial information to determine if the client’s financing requirements meet PNC parameters.

Manages risk/return and actively identifies and mitigates different types of risk for new clients, such as regulatory, reputational, operational and credit risks.

Develops comprehensive financing package structured to meet client needs, drive client acceptance and deepen share of wallet.

Coordinates credit underwriting, due diligence and loan documentation with internal and external partners.

Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree.

Higher level education such as a Masters degree, or PhD is desirable.

Industry experience is typically 8 + years.

Specific certifications are often required.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
