Manager Strategic Partnerships

Candidate must be able to commute daily to Downtown Los Angeles. Major Credit Card Company has an immediate hiring need for a Manager Strategic Partnerships.

Job Description: Expand merchant acceptance channel and related products with assigned Global merchants by developing a value proposition and client relationships in conjunction with company to enable/grow sales volume. Develop and implement marketing and promotional activity to increase sales and awareness. Work with existing or new licensees to increase acceptance coverage for new products, POS, ATM and all forms of e-commerce. Research and identify opportunities within the PF, ISO, VAR, ISV communities to improve company’s acceptance and increase sales volume.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

MANAGEMENT PLANNING ACTIVITIES:

  • Manages and lead senior level account management professionals to insure company’s merchant acceptance and Brand positioning are consistent with company’s U.S. and global strategy.
  • Manages and lead company’s efforts within the ISO, PF, ISV, Gateways, etc. areas to improve visibility and sales.
  • Develops and manage e-commerce strategy to best position company to increase indirect acquirer sales to maximize brand penetration and overall merchant acceptance. Has a good working knowledge of current e-commerce ecosystem and how to position company to be successful in that environment.
  • Identifies and analyzes new revenue sources leveraging company’s current infrastructure and product positioning.
  • Demonstrates exemplary sales and account management behaviors, outstanding leadership characteristics and ethical behaviors consistent with company’s high standards.

     

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7-10 years of experience in a related field with a history of driving and producing solid business results. Merchant acquiring experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong client and people management experience.
  • Extensive sales, account management and product development experience within the Payments industry.
  • Superior market and industry knowledge within the Payments space. 
  • Should have strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) is a plus.

 

EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

  • Bachelor’s degree required but MBA preferred
  • Bilingual language skills a plus (Japanese)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Eyesight/Vision – Requires vision abilities such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Lifting £ 15 lbs. – Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Physical Sight – Able to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen; ability to measure or identify using eyesight.
  • Travel – Occasional travel is required by both car and airplane; sometimes overnight.
  • Verbal and Written Communications – Able to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups.
  • Work Environment – Work is performed in a typical “white-collar” office environment and requires the employee to frequently sit. In addition, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms.
  • Work Pressure/Stress – Able to handle job stress and work pressure from varying demands on one’s time; Able to manage multiple work projects simultaneously.
