Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Manager, Prospect Management with excellent communication and customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. The Manager, Prospect Management will have a direct impact on helping PPLA’s Development Department meet an ambitious annual fundraising goal. Reporting to, and working in partnership with the Senior Director of Philanthropy, the Prospect Manager will be essential in portfolio management balance and assignment, with a focus on performing proactive assessment, analysis of current programs, and donor research to continue elevating PPLA’s Prospect Research systems. Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
* Experience in partnering with frontline fundraisers researching prospects, managing mid-level and major gift donor portfolios, constituent relationship management and/or related activities required
* A minimum of four (4) years progressive experience within a Development Department for a nonprofit or within a similar environment required
* Strong computer and constituent management skills including proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Outlook, Excel), Raiser’s Edge (or similar database), Research Point, Wealth Engine, Importomatic, Every Action and the Internet
* Availability to work flexible hours as needed
* Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County
* Reliable means of transportation for onsite and off-site work
* If using a personal vehicle to drive for work purposes, a valid CA driver license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required
About the position:
* In partnership with frontline fundraisers, oversee and manage portfolio distribution program
* Provide detailed research of prospects and donor assignments
* Assist in developing strategies to cultivate and solicit key prospects
* Assist in portfolio restructuring and scrubbing as necessary
* Produce updated prospects lists as needed
* Department wide, oversee research of all prospects and current donors; identify new prospects to be moved through the donor pipeline into the mid-level giving program and as potential major gift donors
* Provide support for frontline fundraisers, senior staff, and volunteers in donor solicitations
* Provide support to department leadership, in creating and execution of donor analysis and forecasting reports
* Design, institute, and maintain moves management and prospect tracking systems
* Manage all event briefings and in-depth donor profiles
* Ensure that all relevant donor portfolio information is recorded and maintained in Raiser’s Edge using the established Development guidelines
