Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments.This Legal Operations and Technology team member will serve as the lead for overall opportunity intake across the entire legal org including Global Public Policy, Compliance, Business and Legal Affairs, and all Corporate and Core Legal teams, globally. Opportunities will span across operations, technology, business intelligence and knowledge management. Additionally, this individual will (1) manage a team of Legal Operations Managers and Analysts focused on requirements gathering, training and adoption (all knowledge management efforts around our tools) and (2) establish a business intelligence function to centralize and harmonize all data dashboard requests and builds.The role requires strategic thinking around how we intake and prioritize opportunities onto the roadmap, effective written and verbal communication skills to present to leadership, cross-functional partners and stakeholders for buy-in/alignment, and an entrepreneurial mindset to seed new competencies in the team (e.g., knowledge management, business intelligence, or other areas needed as dictated by the business). Responsibilities: Contribute to the Legal Operations and Technology team’s mission by championing innovation through the use of technology to optimize the delivery of efficient and effective legal services to business partnersResponsible for managing intake, backlog, prioritization and execution of legal operations process and technology roadmap initiatives. This includes owning the intake of the opportunity funnel, capturing business requirements as they relate to product functionality within all Legal groups, sizing and prioritizing each opportunity against team, department and company goalsAbility to develop team function strategy and communicate to leadership and stakeholdersLead a team of Legal Operations and Tech Managers and Analysts focused on intake, knowledge management and business intelligence needs of the legal departmentBuild the team’s business intelligence competency which will develop data dashboards to provide Legal Ops & Tech and members of Legal with insights to drive strategic decision-making against goals and targetsExpand the knowledge management function including creation and delivery of technology training sessions with legal usersProactively Identify other business needs as they arise and strategically expand the team to support those areas (e.g., practice-area operations or technology as needed)Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Finance, Contingent Compensation, Accounting, Talent, Studio Product and Engineering, Marketing and Marketing Product/Tech, Data Platform Engineering, Security and Risk AssessmentWork in partnership with the Legal Tech team to evaluate, test, implement and support technology solutions, including user trainingAssist in the overall strategic direction of the Legal Operations and Tech team in support of Legal’s business goalsQualifications 10+ years of experience in people management, developing top talent and empowering their learning and growth10+ years experience in a corporate legal operations or technology group, or comparable legal management role in a global, highly matrixed organizationAdvanced knowledge of legal operations processes, technology tools, metrics as well as the legal ecosystem of services and software providersThis employer is a corporate member ofmyGwork – LGBTQ+ professionals, the business community for LGBTQ+ professionals,students, inclusive employers & anyone who believes in workplace equality.
