Manager, Internal Events

Riot’s Workplace Experience Events Team members endeavor to shape our internal environment by building holistic experiences across Riot’s ecosystem and sparking new opportunities.

As a Manager, Internal Events, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Facilities, you’ll manage a team of events professionals that put on internal events of all sizes delighting Rioters and helping them achieve success in all their event needs. You’ll oversee the end-to-end production event experience, working with our teams, production partners, and business units to provide tremendous event experiences across the LAX campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of event producers and contracted coordinators
  • Manage multiple medium to large-scale projects simultaneously, nurturing them from creation to completion while working with partners to align around the desired end result
  • Ensure all deliverables and deadlines are identified and managed daily to meet expectations of each project. Hold direct reports accountable for deliverables
  • Oversee and direct the set up, staffing, and breakdown for different events of all sizes on Riot Games LAX campus
  • Implement best practices and process improvements based on experience
  • Create and work within specified budget requirements for each event. Maintain accountability for budgeted funds
  • Oversee and direct the execution of virtual event experiences as well as hybrid experiences combining both in person and virtual attendees
  • Lead retroactive reviews of all events completed to measure the impact and resonance of your work

Required Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience in event management / production
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing associate event producers
  • Knowledge of the elements of live production (audio, video, lighting, staging) and how to integrate these elements together to create a memorable experience
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working at tech or creative entertainment companies
  • Interest in gaming and empathy for the player experience
  • A/V event production experience
  • Familiarity with broadcast, recording, and podcast process & spaces

  • (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $124,900.00 – $175,600.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
