Manager, HR Operations – Americas

Remote OpportunityThis role will report to the VP – Global HR Operations and collaborate internally with cross functional partners, to devise initiative that will focus on harmonization, streamlining and consolidation of our core HR operations service delivery. The role will be responsible for the review, management and continuous improvement of our core HR operations processes supporting the employee life cycle, supporting systems and administration to be agile, flexible, and scalable for growth and change in the Americas Region including the US, Canada and South America. The person will champion end-to-end process optimization and integrated global cross-functional operational network. The role will be responsible for creating and delivering operational excellence to meet and exceed current and future business needs and establish accountability across the regional team with clear roles and responsibilities within all key functional and business areas that fall under and interface with HR operations. The Manager NA HR Operations will own continuous process improvement for the region including designing and implementing regular audits, service delivery reviews, feedback channels and standardized delivery that follow all local and regional requirements with a lens towards client service excellence, data integrity, cost, and time efficiency. This role will lead the HR Operations teams in the NA region, HR systems activities and talent operations functions including:* Regional HR Operations Delivery* Regional HRIS (Data Management, Data Security, Compliance, Analytics, Reporting)* Regional HR Administration (Processes, Policies, Procedures)The successful candidate will possess superior change management skills and experience combined with a service expansion/innovation mindset and client service delivery excellence to ensure business needs are met and new processes and policies are successfully and consistently adopted across region and lines of businesses. The successful candidate will come into the role and assess current state in the areas of resources, processes, procedures and priorities and partner with the VP, Global HR Operations to determine the go-forward operating model for both HR systems and core HR administration processes. The individual will conduct a full review of existing resources, processes and procedures, partner closely with key functional stakeholders and regional operations leaders to identify and suggest processes that will benefit from enhanced standardization, consolidation, and centralization in support of the business needs. The person must be results-oriented and exhibit strong and proactive business leadership with a transformational mindset and deep experience in building shared service capabilities in complex, highly matrixed, lean, change-oriented business environments.Key Responsibilities includeHR Operations* Oversee all HR administration activities regionally for the full employee life cycle from preboarding to off-boarding. Ensure processes are streamlined and regularly reviewed and updated for global alignment, efficiency, and improvement.* Responsible for leading HR operations processes for core annual and semi-annual activities including promotions, compensation, and performance where there are key administration and HRIS activities.* Create and communicate timelines and deliverables.* Streamline documentation archives and audits.* Lead HR Operations activities regionally for any M&A activity.* Optimize the End-to-end employee life-cycle processes; provide recommendations for opportunities to standardize, consolidate and centralize.* Reduce operating cost, time, and risk exposure within region.* Manage escalations.* Maintain compliance with Company and external policies, procedures, and best practices.Systems & Reporting* Serve as the regional point of contact and Subject Matter Expert on HCM systems. Partner with regional peers, HR COE’s, IT and other key functional partners (legal, finance etc.) to align business processes and strategy for the HCM system.* Establish key operational metrics and reporting tools related to regional HR Operations activities and aligned with overall global HR operations strategy and approach.* Own, analyze and deliver regional metrics and reporting that provide insight on data trends and analyses to aid in decision making aligned with overall global HR operational approach.* Serve as main point of contact for the regional HR Operations aspects of all core firmwide annual and semi-annual employee talent management programs – create, implement, and lead cross-functional global and regional teams (promotions, merit, bonus, restructurings etc.)Governance & Continuous Improvement* Ensure the team maintains complete and accurate documentation for HR systems, including a data definition, reporting inventories, knowledge articles and process SOP’s.* Establish policies and procedures that provide for the confidentiality, accuracy, security (access, approvals, etc.) and timely maintenance of HR data and reports.* Implement and conduct regular data audit processes and procedures streamlined across all LOBs and geographies.* Design and implement continuous improvement of regional HR standards through regular feedback, data audits, on-going evaluation of core processes. Make regular improvements and adjustments.Lead HR Operations Team* Manage a diverse team that is collectively responsible for HR systems (including HRIS), HR administration and reporting including both direct and indirect reports.* Develop and coach a high-performing team to ensure effectiveness and delivery of business objectives.* Regularly evaluate performance, coach for development and ensure right talent in the right roles.* Cross-train team members on solution and geographies as well as functional delivery areas to ensure coverage for high growth periods as well as internal team career opportunities.Operations Dashboard & Service Delivery* Partner with VP, Global HR Operations to develop a HR Shared Services dashboard and performance metrics.* Develop service agreements and standards for internal customers within HR and external customers in the operations space.* Implement and manage HR Operations project request process including education on resource requirements, time implications, approvals and interdependencies.* Ensure the highest level of internal client service delivery.* Regularly implement, review and update processes and provide initial and on-going training for the team and other individuals in the organization leveraging the core operational systems (HCM etc.) including ownership of all tools and resources needed to deliver client service excellence and efficiencies.Project Management* Serve as regional Operations lead on talent initiatives – cascade information to team, resource critical projects effectively, identify risks, escalate issues proactively along with recommendations for solutions.* Partner closely and regularly with key functional teams on a regular basis to stay appraised of on-going and last-minute key projects that often intersect with HR Operations.* Bring a solutions-mindset to projects and proactively raise any issues to SVP Global Talent regarding timelines, resources, escalations, etc.* Exemplify effective client service and project management, embrace, and lead the effective management of matrix reporting structure and shared accountability for HR objectives, thoughtfully and effectively manage critical interdependencies.* Implement and manage project request process for business projects including approvals, review, resourcing, and prioritization.Relationships & Internal Network* Develop and maintain critical organizational relationships including partnering closely with key regional functional leaders in Finance, Legal, IT and the HR COE.* Partner with regional business leaders to ensure remain up to date on the latest and future business needs and activities in order to plan for HR operational resource needs.* Regularly obtain feedback from these key stakeholders for informing delivery and process continuous improvements.External Awareness and Responsiveness* Stay current with innovative HR practices and informed on what other best-in class companies are doing to improve operations effectiveness.* Recognize and respond to emerging trends which will capitalize on innovative transformative opportunities to meet the expectations of internal & external stakeholders.* Implement and manage escalation process.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONSThe selected candidate should possess the following:* At least 5 years expertise in managing HR Operations and continuous improvement initiatives.* Minimum of 7 years’ experience in HR operations.* BA/BS degree required.* Experience as a manager in Global HR operations, preferably within an HR shared service environment managing cross-functional HR processes.* SAP experience required with ability to manage business process flows.* Strong HR compliance and audit aptitude.* Demonstrated ability to transform a process to leverage efficiencies and synergies with a track-record of success in implementing large-scale business process and structure change within complex-matrixed and resource constrained organizations.* Ability to influence and negotiate without formal direct authority, consultative in approach.* Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities and drive change.* Understanding of various HR disciplines and their integration with broader HR COE areas as well as integration to the business* Demonstrated success in leading large-scale initiatives within a highly matrixed global organization.* Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
