Manager, Editorial Communications and Newsroom

We’re hiring a Communications Manager to lead our editorial and newsroom efforts for the company.

Reporting to the VP, Communications, we’re looking for a creative storyteller with outstanding writing skills and attention to detail. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, editing and managing the distribution of a wide range of communications.

We are seeking a fast, creative and accurate writer; and an organized and thoughtful editor.

Responsibilities include writing and editing press releases, internal communications and news content for our own newsroom.

Experience working with senior executives is a plus. 

We’re looking for someone who can think big
– ensuring we have a long lead of creative editorial ideas and a robust communications calendar; and also being able to get down in the weeds with incredible attention to detail when it comes to editorial copy. 

You should have examples of your work that demonstrate your ability to communicate key ideas in a clear, creative and compelling way.

You excel at working with peers and executives, consistently delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Write, review and edit a range of materials including press releases, briefing notes, blog posts, speeches, and other creative materials across the team
  • Lead the GOAT Group newsroom, ensuring there is a steady drumbeat of content and announcements throughout the year 
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of our company narrative and storytelling across various platforms
  • Contribute to and manage the GOAT Group editorial calendar
  • Assist with the development and editing of targeted communications campaigns to generate coverage for GOAT in top tier outlets covering business, tech and fashion
  • Work with the People team to prepare and roll out internal comms, to ensure employees are kept up to date of our corporate and financial milestones and announcements

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in communications or related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing and visual storytelling skills
  • Track record of effectively translating technical concepts into accessible narratives
  • Expertise in driving editorial execution across multiple channels and audiences
  • Excellent editorial judgment and a keen sense of what is timely and culturally relevant
  • Ability to juggle multiple deliverables and deadlines
  • A foundational understanding of digital marketing, including social media and SEO
  • Interest in continuous improvement and decision-making using analytics and measurement
  • Writing test and samples required
