About the Role

We are looking for a Manager of Brand Strategy & Planning to define and shepherd our brand roadmap.

This role requires an expert communicator, problem solver and stakeholder manager.

With a passion for taking big problems and making them less ambiguous, you must drive alignment across Brand org teams and MasterClass leadership while steering large-scale efforts across the finish line.

Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent and you’re not afraid to speak up when priorities are at risk.

This role will report to our Director of Brand Strategy & Planning  and would be a great fit for someone with previous in-house brand strategy and/or marketing operations experience managing teams and brands through large-scale brand growth.

Responsibilities 

  • Partner with the brand and MasterClass leadership to define and scope our brand’s roadmap based on business context and objectives
  • Contribute to business health reporting for brand and MasterClass leadership
  • Work across an integrated marketing team (Brand, performance/lifecycle, PR, internal creative, partner agencies, etc.) and key cross functional stakeholders to ensure a high quality of work is delivered at every stage of the consumer journey
  • Manage resource management and planning for a 100+ person department
  • Prepare quarterly planning cycles
  • Oversee goal setting and tracking across a growing, interdisciplinary team

What skills do I need? 

  • 5+ years marketing, branding or advertising operations or strategy experience managing organizations of global scale and individual initiatives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Experience managing people and teams
  • Developed organizational and planning skills with extreme attention to detail
  • A proactive, efficient, and resourceful approach and ability to thrive in a creative, flexible, and ambiguous environment.

    Must be able to think on the fly and pivot when necessary and drive strategy forward

  • Facilitation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to effectively collaborate and influence across many functions and levels of the organization

  • Graceful when working to tight deadlines and complexity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive required, as well as various project management tools (particularly SmartSheets)
