Luxury Rug Sales Consultant

The Role:

We are an internationally recognized, luxury carpet/rug company looking continue our targeted market expansion.  We are seeking a sales professional with a proven track record in high-end, to-the-trade carpet sales.  The candidate will have current relationships within and knowledge of the regional design community. They will be, highly motivated, personable, and organized.  This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for relationship-based selling and business development.

 

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Develop business to meet and exceed annual sales goals
  • Generate quotes, sales orders, invoices, and delivery documentation for projects
  • Manage projects to exceed customer expectations while maintaining project profitability
  • Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, keeping track of all deliverables and deadlines to ensure all client expectations are met, including daily communication and follow-up across various accounts
  • Continually find and build relationships with clients within the designated territory
  • Advise clients on product attributes and qualities
  • Work with Studio on customization of designs and bespoke projects
  • Proactively source new business and schedule outside presentations
  • Actively network and attend relevant industry events
  • Coordinate outreach trips with samples, collateral, lunches and presentation materials
  • Assist with aftercare questions and advise on solutions
  • Coordinate samples for projects and update sample libraries as needed
  • Provide timely creation and distribution of marketing and sales reports as requested
  • Manage a project pipeline and provide forecasting information as needed by manager
  • Willingness to work with all team members and assist all customers in the showroom
  • Attend sales and product meetings as directed by your manager
  • Participate in all company sponsored training and showroom meetings
  •  Serve as the customer advocate and liaison for product management and development
  • Prepare periodic forecasts and progress updates toward sales goals

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiastic self-starter
  • High-end decorative supply sales experience
  • Familiar with design and/or luxury decor
  • Must be professional and be highly accountable
  • Possess good organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Team player
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, show rugs and samples
