Role and responsibilities:
The Indirect Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the procurement of indirect materials and services for the US-based companies and subsidiaries of Lifestyle Design.
The person will report functionally to the Lifestyle Design Group Indirect Purchasing Unit (part of Operations Excellence) and hierarchically to the Operations Unit of JANUS et Cie.
Main Activities:
His/her main activities will be: Develops and manages all aspects of the procurement of materials and services in scope: supplier scouting and pre-qualification, requests for quotation, commercial and technical negotiations, in close co-operation with the relevant Lifestyle Design stakeholders.

Is responsible to achieve cost saving, service and quality targets shared with the relevant Lifestyle Design Companies and Business Units in the context of the Group Indirect Purchasing Team Proactively identifies and syndicates opportunities for continuous improvement both as far as commercial (re)negotiations and demand management optimization are concerned Develops and maintains close relationships with Haworth to capture purchasing synergies and ensure best practice transfer, where relevant Develops and implements purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures and ensures compliance with government and appropriate corporate policies Maintains relations with vendors to maintain congruency in sales and pricing changes Prepares required reports; provides detailed analysis of purchased goods and services Maintains vendor evaluation programs and reports on on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness Resolves vendor or contractor grievances Participates to ad hoc performance improvement and strategic projects / initiatives that will involve his/her Function
Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.), preferably in Engineering or Economics At least 4 years of experience in Purchasing in companies with US-wide footprint.

Preferential factors: i) having reached independence in managing at least some categories (i.e.

Category Manager role) ii) experience in purchasing indirect goods and services and iii) experience in companies with reputation of excellent quality
Technical and soft skills Knowledge and good level of autonomy of purchasing-related processes: supplier scouting and rating, technical negotiation, contract definition, supplier monitoring Personal maturity, leadership potential and ability to interact effectively with senior managers in diverse context Goal orientation Numerical agility and problem-solving ability
