Life Sciences Senior Manager – Field Excellence

You Are:

A Life Sciences Field Excellence guru with years of experience in the Life Sciences industry focused on commercial operations, effectiveness or strategy.

Your expertise Advising clients in the Life Sciences industry on data-driven strategies to strategically position their field teams to be relevant, agile and innovative.

Furthermore, you will bring expertise to our clients to help them operationally optimize the operations and technologies supporting their field forces, with a focus on bringing together the cross-functional elements that are critical to a next generation, reimagined, field model.

Lastly, you have therapeutic expertise across one or more therapeutic areas (TAs) and are passionate about learning about new science.

The Work:

– Advise clients on various aspects of field models including but not limited to: tip of the spear strategies to reimagine relevance for customer engagements, next generation field technologies, tools and data, and operational best practices for enabling field forces.

– Head up large global teams to deliver field strategy, readiness, technology roll outs and operations to Life Sciences clients.

– Develop field assets, including whitepapers, POVs, and thought capital pieces for publication at least once a quarter.

– Bring therapeutic area expertise to field projects.

– Lead project delivery to make sure clients are positioned for long-term success with practical road maps for carrying out strategy, managing change, redesigning process, deploying technologies, and taking remedial steps.

– Provide overall guidance on quantitative analysis and research to generate recommendations and insights and drive outcomes.

– Build relationships with clients to sustain Accenture’s profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner.

– Develop the next generation of field practitioners at Accenture, including building skillsets and capabilities and leading community building efforts.

– Deliver over $5 million in high value consulting sales every year in this space.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

– Minimum 8+ years pharma / life sciences experience and expertise, specifically focused in commercial;

– Minimum 5+ years experience leading, consulting for or supporting field strategies for pharma / biopharma;

– Deep understanding of the pharma field forces and field processes, strategies and operations;

– Experience running client workshops and leading large, strategic senior executive meetings;

– Therapeutic area / brand area expertise preferable, but not required (e.g.

oncology, immunology, vaccines, etc.);

– Global experience preferable but not required;

– Deep cross-functional LS commercial knowledge (across commercial marketing, market access, research) highly preferable;

– Bachelors degree

Bonus Points if you have:

– Deep expertise in one or more therapeutic areas.

– Experience with design thinking or human centric design methodologies.

Travel update: Racking up those air miles will have to wait, as weekly non-essential travel to client sites Monday through Thursday is currently suspended.

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.
