Gemini is a New York trust company that is subject to the capital reserve requirements, cybersecurity requirements, and banking compliance standards set forth by the New York State Department of Financial Services and the New York Banking Law. Gemini was founded in 2014 by twin brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss to empower the individual through crypto.

The Department: Product
Gemini is a regulated, full service, crypto service provider where engineering is the core of the company. There’s a wide range of tough problems to solve at Gemini – from properly securing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of customer funds, to developing innovative new blockchain products, to finding new techniques to combat fraud, to shaving microseconds off our API response times, and everything in between.
All of Gemini’s engineers are able to work across the software platform, not just on their own specialization or subteam. We value a thoughtful, collaborative software development process, coupled with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and delivering software.
Gemini Prime is specifically focused on providing a capital market crypto service offering to institutional investors. We provide a software based platform that provides custody, access, trading, settlement & clearing and financing of crypto.
The Role: Lead Product Manager – Gemini Prime
Responsibilities
- Serve as the voice of the customer, identifying customer needs, articulating benefits, designing product interfaces and playing an integral role in prioritization. Be the customer advocate.
- Identify market and product opportunities gathered from internal and external research, competitive analysis and client/prospect interaction.
- Author detailed functional specifications for product development and quality assurance consumption.
- Create and maintain the product roadmap, balancing short-term and long-term goals.
- Work closely with the engineering team to streamline the product development process.
Qualifications
- 7 plus years work experience in product management, preferably for a fintech or relevant financial services institution
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, articulating key information to Management, Development, Sales/Marketing and Clients
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within a rapidly growing industry
- Affinity for teamwork-oriented culture and demonstrated willingness to roll up sleeves
- Intellectual curiosity, friendly demeanor and empathy for customers and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in/familiarity with: institutional trading, credit risk management, TCA, and systems that perform trade clearing and settlement
- Expertise in and strong affinity for cryptocurrency market
- Experience with Jira, Figma, FIX and Pracitest
