The Lead Continuous Improvement Consultant plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives.
Will lead cross-functional project teams.
Develops metrics that provide data for process and/or service measurement.
Collects and analyzes data to identify root cause of problems.
Measures performance against process requirements.
Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance, product and service quality.
Performs cost and benefit analyses.
Requires specialized depth and breadth of knowledge and experience to interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices.
Key Responsibilities: Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.
Prioritizes initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of projects.
Performs other related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Certification as a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, or comparable certification.
Typically requires BA/BS – or equivalent in education and experience.
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years relative experience.
Requires conceptual and practical expertise in discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following: Shingo Alumni, or experience with Shingo Model and Principles.
Exceptional change leadership and people/relationship skills.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Excellent documentation / deck-building skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Experience creating detailed reports and presenting to management.
A track record of following through on commitments.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
