Kitchen Supervisor

Job Description Supervisor/cook needed at our Bimini residential treatment program (www.socialmodel.com). Responsible for all meal preparation, seven days a week. Purchase food and kitchen supplies while adhering to a financial budget. Maintain adequate food supplies at all times: a two-week supply of non-perishables and a three-week supply of perishable foods. Prepare, post, and distribute weekly menus. Provide clear directions for staff who prepare meals when Kitchen Supervisor is not on duty (e.g., days off and breakfast). Maintain high standards of quality and nutrition in food preparation, emphasizing fresh and wholesome foods. Maintains an extermination schedule for kitchen and storage areas. Complies with health and safety laws and regulations. Assure safe kitchen operations at all times; teach residents to safely use all kitchen equipment. Maintain a therapeutic relationship with residents as a member of the staff treatment team. Maintain high quality of service, ensuring that residents are treated with dignity and respect at all times. Associates Degree OR one year related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience. ServSafe credential. High School diploma or GED. Non-smoker preferred. Knowledge of the 12 Step philosophy.
