In this role the Key Account Manager will be responsible to call on targeted large industrial customers in key targeted segment (ie
– datacenter, food & beverage, mining, etc.) and promote the services and products of the ABB EL Services portfolio.
The Key account manager will own identifying, developing and closing orders, execute business objectives and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.This position reports toService Sales ManagerYour responsibilitiesProvide sales leadership with assigned customers through the formulation and execution of strategies that will support the customer’s business needs through their use of ABB services and technologyBuild customer relationships throughout their organizationSupport the assigned customer with sales activities that provide assistance to the customer in identifying new opportunities where they can improve reliability, productivity or specific business objectivesPromote ABB’s digital solutionsCollaborate with ABB’s Global Key Account Managers and C&I’s Utility and Industrial Sales teams on assigned accounts to leverage HQ relationships and drive pipeline developmentDocument customer installed base and leverage installed base knowledge in promoting solutions that improve customer reliability / meet customer financial objectives (total cost of ownership)Negotiate contracts as requiredMaintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, customer trends and installed base and market levels of pricing for supported classes of services or productsutilize that knowledge to collaborate with operations to ensure local service support is aligned to meet customer and competitive landscapeMaintain accurate and up to date records of all opportunities and disposition opportunities as they evolve (SFDC accuracy is critical to role)Make recommendations for continued growthYour backgroundBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial or utility sales role)Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales or Marketing role involved with customer development in a pre-order roleMinimum 5 years of knowledge and experience selling products and services associated with electrical power studies, switchgear and protective relayingCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceMedical insuranceWellbeing programMore about usABB’s Electrification Global Markets organization is responsible for the go-to-market strategy in 100 countries where the Electrification Business Area operates.
