Jr. Social Media Manager

Shani Darden Skin Care is looking for a skilled Jr.

Social Media Manager and content creator to join our team.

In addition to leading community engagement, this position would be the ultimate creator
– capturing, creating and editing content.

As the gatekeeper to the brand’s social account, this person will be expected to always be tuned into our social platforms, on both the creative & community front.

We’re looking for someone with a creative eye who can create engaging stories, capture a balance of lifestyle & brand content, while also spearheading community-first campaigns for the account.

The role reports to the Social Media Manager and Senior Director of Marketing, they will also work closely with the brand’s founder, Shani Darden.

The Jr.

Social Media Manager will help implement the company’s social media strategy, through daily content & community efforts in order to drive awareness, traffic, engagement and conversion.

This role interacts cross functionally with marketing, public relations, sales and eCommerce teams to support their respective objectives while ensuring consistency in the voice and tone of the brand.

This role understands how to balance the unique nature of the account being both a brand & lifestyle account.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for social media, skin care and luxury combined with business savvy and skills for developing compelling storytelling, building and maintaining a strong community.

All while engaging in an authentic way through relevant social media content.

Please include a portfolio of previous social campaigns you have developed and executed.

What You’ll Do

Strategy

• Assist Social Media Manager in planning, development and execution of the social media strategy and across existing and emerging channels including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn with explicit quarterly goals

• Identify and present opportunities to evolve content pillars and enrich content to grow engagement across Instagram stories, Influencer marketing, and amongst the social community

• Manage and grow follower base through consistent, strategic, educational content and community growth campaigns

Execution

• Create daily stories that are engaging, yet successfully balance brand marketing priorities, along with the personal life of the brand founder

• Draft copy & edit final imagery for IG stories

• Assist team in scripting and producing engaging, social-specific video content for IG, IGTV & YouTube

• Collect influencer content, UGC & press clips for weekly IG Stories and regrams

• Manage partner giveaways & sweepstakes

• Use social media analytics to measure, analyze and report on monthly performance to ensure optimization of content to meet business goals

Community Management

• Comment & Like tagged photos, respond daily to comments posted on feed images and retailer posts.

• Respond to direct messages & answer product-related questions from users

• Ensure all social media community management and networking delivers a positive brand experience, drives further engagement, encourages advocacy, and is fully leveraged for amplification

• Grow and leverage relationships with social platforms, potential influencers/partners

• Strategize ways brand’s social media can optimize user growth & better foster engagement amongst the community

• Strategize new & future content opportunities with on-brand influencers & partnership opportunities

• Direct influencer inquiries & assess future partnership

Education & Skills

• 2-3 years of creative and/or content production experience with a beauty brand

• Passion for photography, iPhone photography, editing

• Exceptional writing skills and pay close attention to detail, grammar, and tone

• Proficient in one or many of the Adobe Creative Suite programs

• Familiar with social media metrics and monitoring tools, experience with Dash Hudson a plus

• You have a strong grasp on the current social landscape including platform capabilities, trends, and best

practices for each individual major social platform

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent preferred
