LLAX0005820 The Langham, Huntington, Pasadena, Los Angeles Information Technology 04 Oct 2020Job Summary.PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:The manager is based in the Pasadena office and has responsibility for the Systems and Technology for that property.

The primary customers of the managers are the hotel guests and clients, followed by the management and staff.

The manager s goal is to provide excellent services that delight the guest, support customer requirements and satisfy business objectives.RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES: Schedule and manage hardware installation and support.

Software installation and support.

Training and education Client and guest support.

Hardware and software purchases.

Telecommunications systems.

Managing IT& T property inventory.

All business continuity planning systems backup and security procedures.

Guest room and meeting room technology.

24/7 availability for support.

Adherence to all local and corporate policies and procedures as the relate to information technology.

Compliance with all laws regarding information technology and licensing agreements.

The MITT supports other Department Heads and Human Resources in co-ordinating on-going application training and ensuring that systems are used properly, productively so that full benefits can be realized.

The MITT will manage the on-going maintenance and support of the hotel systems.

This includes updating application and operating software to the latest releases as advised by the Director of IT.

The MITT must ensure that all legal requirements pertaining to software and software licenses are adhered to and that no illegal software is being used in the hotel.

The MITT must ensure that all privacy and other legislation pertaining to client data are adhered to and that no system usage would jeopardize the reputation of Mandarin Oriental or cause a prosecution of the hotel to be considered.

The MITT will ensure that a structured escalation procedure exists to provide 24-hour support to the hotel guests and staff.

It’s the manager of IT& T’s responsibility to ensure that: That each properties computer equipment and the computer room are kept clean and tidy and that all documents, master software and spares are organized in such a way that they are readily available.

Computer software licenses are kept and suitably filed.

A business continuity plan for each hotel is written, verified and revised as needed.

The systems are physically secure and data is password protected.

Antivirus software is installed, kept up to date and operational so as to protect the hotel/office systems.

The systems are regularly backed up and backups are taken off site to a secure storage area.

Access to the hotels systems are protected from unauthorized accessRequirement.SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: A mature professional, technically proficient and experienced with hotel / sales offices systems Good written and oral communication skills Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks Skills and abilities to effectively manage supplier and vendor relationships An analytical approach to problems and a regard for detail and accuracy Able to provide help and support to both guests and colleagues Capable of seeking solutions and answers utilising both group and external sources A self-motivated individual able to identify and implement new technology related procedures that will improve guest service, operations and profitabilityMust have knowledge / experience of the following technologies: Standard business PC, server and networking hardware Hotel industry specific hardware Standard business operating system platforms Inter-platform connectivity Networking infrastructure and cable plant design Internet security and management Electronic communications systems Standard office automation software applications Hotel industry specific software applications Hotel industry specific systems integration and interfacingPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift heavy objects, full functionality for long periods of time.
