Broadcast Production Manager for Christian T.V Show (Remote)(Some Travel to/from Phoenix, AZ)JOB SUMMARY:A proactive planner and executor who manages a wide range of activities pertaining to the successful production of regularly scheduled television shows as well as any other interdepartmental and ministry related productions.
Includes but not limited to handling of guest appearances and related logistics as well as technical aspects of the studio and equipment toward preparation of production and meeting production deadlines.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Working with VP-Marketing to produce scripts and program process steps and details and all required assets for successful productionsGather creative elements, coming up with graphics/videos to support new ideas for each episodeManage all aspects of filming on taping days, including set design, props, scripts, outside vendors and crew to ensure all elements needed are secured.
Facilitate the production process on set to ensure taping is completed on time, within budget, and meeting the agreed upon artistic and technical standards.Provide production support and media elements as needed to Out-Sourced Producers for approved JVMI productions throughout the entire production cycle.Organizes production events including shoot schedule, estimating costs, and obtaining staff needed including contractorsCultivate relationships with show guests during the pre-production process.
Prepare guests and hosts for taping to ensure show objectives are met to maximize production time and resources, including creating scripts for teleprompter, writing interview questions and supporting material.Determine most efficient execution of production design including staging and lighting environment.Assist in creating successful short-form and long-form direct response television appeals, incorporating the use of offers and infomercialsAct as Floor director for taping events being prepared in advance for camera shots, set changes, etc.Manage the maintenance and service schedule for production and editing equipment both at the studio and in the officeWork closely with captioning vendor to ensure the programs are delivered and air-ready according to the Production delivery schedule and station guidelines.Work closely with staff editor(s) to ensure they have all elements needed for productionEnsure the show production deadlines are met and final product is delivered on time each weekReviews television show to ensure accuracy and style guide complianceEnsures proper training and usage of SOP/Policy/Work Instructions for job functions, as well as supporting team members.Demonstrates pursuit of operational excellence being proactive in making enhancements and/or identifying/preventing risks or potential problems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A BA in media production or similar field; combination of on the job experience and college credits may substituteFour or more years of hands-on experience with building successful productions for television broadcastingExperience with direct response television strongly preferredKnowledge and experience with studio preparation, techniques and technologiesTechnical knowledge of editing and respective software; able to edit shows if neededIntermediate to Expert skill in Microsoft office suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to work with a variety of personalitiesAbility to handle high pressure situations with tight deadlines with calmness and composureExcellent organizational and prioritization skills while maintaining a strategic focus on overall goalsAbility to overcome obstacles with proven track record of creating innovative solutionsPERSONALITY/OTHER:Strong Christian beliefs with a heart for missions, developing relationships and outreach.Must be committed to the Mission of Jewish Voice at “Open” level moving toward “Advocate”Must demonstrate a proactive approach to work activities anticipating issues with workable solutions at the ready.Uses the utmost discretion regarding sensitive company and employee informationMust be able to coordinate resources and responsibilities; be able to get along well with othersMust be able to lead people and develop a strong rapport with various department staff earning trust and respect.Must be a self-starter able to coordinate resources and responsibilitiesMust be outgoing, enjoy making presentations and facilitating meetings.Thrives in a quick-paced work environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to work a minimum of a 40 hour workweek, plus additional as required to complete assignments on a timely basis.
Taping days may be as long as 12 hours at times to accommodate guests schedulesMust be able to sit for extended periods of time while talking on the telephone, using computers for typing and entering data up to 3 – 4 hours at a time.Must have good communication skills (i.E., communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English).Must be able to see with or without corrective lenses; Must be able tolift boxes weighing up to 10 pounds – maintaining files and documentation requires stooping as well as carrying and/or lifting materials.Travel requirements may be up to 25% of the year as needed for production/shoot days as well as special events.IND123
