IT Project Manager (CMS)

This is a long-term contract opportunity with one of our large public sector clients in Sunny California. Our client is currently looking for a consultant (PMP) to manage and lead a work effort to implement a Case Management System (CMS) through a full software implementation life cycle. The Consultant shall lead the project work effort to successfully design, build, test, train, and deploy a CMS that meets the needs of our client. Responsibilities The client is seeking a Project Manager to lead, oversee, and manage a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) CMS systemrsquos implementation and delivery. In addition, the Consultant will be responsible for the following Provide project management standards and principals within initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing process groups. Design, build, test, train, deployment and transition to support services required for full CMS implementation. In collaboration with the CMS Contracted Vendor and CMS Project Team, the Consultant shall review the BPI and RFP documents, socialize and confirm collected functional technical requirements and future state workflows will be incorporated into the design and build of the new CMS system. The Consultant will work closely with the CMS Project Team, CMS Contract Vendor, and key stakeholders to complete the tasks and deliverables. Tasks include Project Initiation and Management Deliverables Kickoff Meeting and Presentation Project Management Plan Weekly Project Status and Monthly Meeting and Report Requirement Management and Validation Deliverables Requirements Management Plan Requirements Analysis Document Requirements Traceability Matrix System Implementation, Design, Data Conversion, Integration, Configuration and Security Deliverables Systems Implementation Plan System Design and Development Plan Configuration Management Plan and Application Configuration Report System Security Management Data Quality Assessment, Strategy, Conversion Plan and Report System Integration Plan and Interface Design Document Unit Testing and Integration Testing Deliverables Comprehensive Test Plan Test Scenarios and Testing Cases System Testing Results and User Acceptance Testing Origination Change Management Plan Deliverables Change Management Plan Communication Plan Workshops and Presentation Knowledge Transfer and Training Deliverables Training Curriculum and User Manuals Conduct Training Training Execution Results System Deployment and Rollout Deliverables Production Release Plan and Production Release Production Cutover Plan and Production Cutover Report Production Support and Transition Plan Deliverables Transition Plan Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan System Acceptance Maintenance and Support Plan and Activity Report Minimum Qualifications Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as a lead Project Manager. Five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) years managing enterprise Information Technology (IT) projects for a Case Management System. Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years managing projects with a governance structure that includes multiple stakeholders. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
