IT Project Manager

Job Description:

  • Maintain a baseline inventory of devices in scope for migration, combining available data from OpenDCIM, Vantive, and other data sources. Note: original baseline created by another team.
  • Prepare a kickoff deck for each customer, using a standard template
  • Conduct kickoff with customers account team
  • Conduct regular checkpoint meetings with account team, assigned Migration Architect, assigned Colocation Architect and other team members
  • Provide support to the Migration and Colocation Architects as required
  • Maintain current documentation re customer migrations using standard tools (i.e. Teams)
  • Maintain accurate schedule of planned migrations
  • Create Service Improvement Incidents to engage technical resources for research and planning
  • Create purchase requests (PRs), Goods Receipt purchase orders
  • Create change requests for planned migrations (CRQs), and manage same
  • Ensure Methods of Procedure (MoPs) are prepared and posted and peer reviewed in a timely manner
  • Ensure perform resources are assigned to a change in a timely manner
  • Ensure change is approved prior to the change starting
  • Create access authorizations for DCO resources working in the data center
  • Monitor removal of customer devices which are no longer required and will not be physically relocated under the DCO program
  • Facilitate go / no go calls for each migration
  • Facilitate migration bridge for each move event
  • During the migration, send regular updates to the stakeholders
  • Facilitate Lessons Learned session after each move event
