IT Project Coordinator

Position Title: IT Project CoordinatorDepartment: Information TechnologyLocation: WestwoodSummaryThe IT Project Coordinator will work with IT Projects Managers managing IT projects, ensuring delivery of projects within time and budget according to a consistent process.

This role will also help keep project task lists and resource scheduling plans.

The position requires strong project management, communication, organizational and leadership skills.This position reports to the Sr.

Project Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with other Project Managers and other IT team members to ensure successful project delivery from project inception through closure.

Create various project documents, including project charters, project plans, status reports, project risk assessments, and project gating presentations.

Work with project team to ensure relevant project documentation is created.

Resolve resource, timing, or other conflicts between projects.

Contribute to the project management best practices and standards within IT.

Other duties as required.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSA Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.A minimum of 4 years of experience, with 2 years of experience managing increasingly complex, enterprise projects.

Demonstrated experience contributing to process and methodology improvements.

Demonstrated knowledge and execution of project management practices, tools and methodologies, including an appropriate project management tool (Microsoft Project, Workfront, etc.)Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience managing small to large IT Projects Knowledge of IT Systems and processesOther Skills and Abilities:The following will also be required of the successful candidate: Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail Good judgment Strong interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Able to work harmoniously and effectively with others Able to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion Able to work under time and project deadlines; and Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and prioritiesPHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
