Position Summary:
This role is responsible for infrastructure on owned and or operated festival grounds to ensure system integrity and availability. The IT Event Manager will provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for Festival infrastructure and third-party service providers while also working with the Director of Festival IT to address operational matters or assist with new initiatives and projects. The IT Event Manager is expected to aid in the design, documentation and implement solutions taking into account best practices to meet business objectives while complying with department and security guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Design, manage, implement supporting infrastructure needed for the support of temporary festival cellular and network infrastructure design best practices to meet business objectives.
- Document physical IT infrastructure and speak to the nature of the designs to provide management with the details they require for their approval of new infrastructure designs and proposed improvements.
- Work with various 3rd parties to facilitate, manage and execute any IT requirements as appropriate
- Provide status updates and identify/ escalate issues/ risks as appropriate
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement where appropriate
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum education requirement of BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Information Technology or related field
- 5-7 years of experience with: IT Service Management, Problem Management, Incident Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, project management, M&A activity, network infrastructure design, network infrastructure implementation, Microsoft Active Directory, and partnering with sourcing companies.
- Experience managing third-party technical vendors
- Organized and detail oriented
- Self-starter who demonstrates leadership skills and takes initiative
- Willing/”can do” attitude to drive for results – including “hands on” engagement as required
- Comfortable leading through ambiguity, including during crises/disasters, business change, or organizational change events, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across multiple organizations, Regions, Sectors and teams.
