Position Objective

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director, Industrial & Production Print Finishing Solutions

Essential Job Functions

1. 50% of Time Spent – Developing & Managing IP PP Finishing Solutions program for North America including primarily MGI, but incorporating 3rd Party Coaters, Cutting Solutions sold through IP Channel – The primary objective of this program is to increase MGI sales, decrease MGI inventory and increase MGI profitiability.

2. 50% of Time Spent – Manage, drive and grow MGI sales cycles East of the Mississippi.

Build a business plan for a successful MGI sales program.

Assist in the development and implementation of execution plan for both KM Direct and Dealer Partner organizations, for IP PP Finishing Solutions primarily focusing on MGI embellishment solutions.

Drive the development, deployment and participation of executive MGI webinars and communication presentations to MGI Prospects and both the Dealer partners and KM Direct organizations.

Assist in the creation and management of customer finishing applications.

Develop Best Practice Case studies. Independently identify and develop compelling solutions to common and complex issues, by applying strong understanding of the converting, manufacturing and private industries.

Develop and implement educational seminars with dealer partners and direct.

  • Participate in global conference calls with key Executive regarding MGI products, BUS MGI business plans, sales, activity trends, and actions.
  • Professionalize and launch a business development program for MGI customers and develop ways to market this to potential prospects
  • Manage inventory levels and implement plans to decrease MGI inventory
  • Track MGI sales and prospect activity levels by MGI product, by IP Director, by channel, by vertical market
  • Exploit opportunities within Key target markets (ie: Trade Finishing)
  • Implement programs for maximizing direct and dealer channels at the low end of the product group for MGI (3ds, 3d1 and $1-$7 million printers)

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, management and organizational skills with a proven track record.
  • Proven ability to directly manage and track performance.
  • Proven track record of having excellent internal and external customer relationships. Strong business acumen managing to bottom-line profitability.
  • Experience in accurately forecasting and managing the sales of a high growth business.
  • Experience with label printing industry
  • Work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • History of job stability a must!!
  • Work Location Flexible

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • 10 years of solid experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience with a strong track record selling and managing Office Equipment and/or Information Technology products.
  • 2-5 years of successful sales experience as a Director of Business Development, Industrial Print & Inket
  • 3 years successful track record of selling MGI and other IP finishing solutions
  • Executive level communication skils a must
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
