JOB DESCRIPTION
As The Culinistas grows and refines its digital presence, we’re seeking a highly creative and strategic thinker to produce and manage content across our social media channels. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a robust content calendar. This role will report to our Director of Content and Marketing and work closely with her (plus the internal culinary team, freelance content creators and Culinista chefs) to execute the brands content plans and meet performance-driven goals. This role will bring everything that The Culinistas creates – recipes, menus, classes, bite-sized learnings – to all channels.
This role is full-time, salaried & remote (ideally based in NYC). We offer a competitive benefits package and salary commensurate with experience starting $65,000.
YOUR ROLE:
- Work closely with Director of Content to set content strategy across all social accounts
- Work closely with the Culinary Director to mine branded culinary, hosting, and educational information
- Run the day-to-day execution of social media: content planning/creation + community management
- Understand and implement The Culinistas’ brand voice and visual identity across all content
- Track and report social performance; translate metrics into actionable steps to inform social strategy
- Source content creators + work with chefs in our network to create content for The Culinistas’ channels
- Brief internal and external partners on photo/video assets to bring social strategy to life
- Edit and film content from internal photoshoots and external creators
YOU HAVE:
- 3+ years leading a social media account, ideally in the food or culinary space
- 1+ years filming and editing food/recipe videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels
- An insatiable curiosity & desire to learn new things as well as hone existing skills
- An advanced understanding of Instagram, Tik Tok & Pinterest’s functionality & best practices plus an awareness of social media trends
- Experience with reporting on analytics (reporting tools and platforms)
- Experience briefing creatives on video and photo projects/social campaigns
- Strong visual sensibilities, attention to detail, and communication skills
- A results-oriented work approach
- Excellent ability to manage time and work efficiently
- Passion about all things culinary & hospitality
