We are looking for a Marketing Director to work closely with the President, Community Director, and Marketing Department to develop strategies that increase brand awareness, scalability, and profitability while maintaining brand integrity and driving our company mission to empower women and other underrepresented communities outdoors.

The right candidate will have a brand marketing & storytelling background. They will have a strong background in building and driving strategy, leading a cross-functional organization, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment using KPIs. They will be a hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and highly collaborative working style.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the marketing team
  • Set a productive and efficient organizational structure; hire, grow, mentor and develop a healthy, efficient and collaborative team, including dedicated and non-dedicated roles.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure clarity and alignment around brand direction, key strategic decisions and business performance.
  • Set high level marketing strategy and roadmap, get leadership buy-in, and drive execution.
  • Monitor all key business KPIs, ranging from selling channel (retail, ecommerce) and CRM data, to social media channels and more; develop and execute recommendations to optimize performance.
  • Develop and execute an impactful brand launch plan, followed by monthly and weekly campaigns that continue to resonate and beat growth expectations.
  • Coordinate and optimize cross-functional marketing alignment processes across entire organization.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Creation team (Design, Merch, Planning, Production) to ensure alignment between final assortment and marketing strategy.
  • Drive marketing strategy across all channels & functions, ensure alignment, manage team of direct and indirect reports and drive execution.
  • Influence creative strategy and execution to support marketing stories; develop strategic creative direction and guardrails, and drive process development and creative approval flow.
  • As business scales beyond North America, drive global alignment and execution to ensure coordinated launches and maximum brand and business impact worldwide.
  • Support the brand’s growth marketing efforts by developing marketing strategies and campaigns that support acquisition business targets and efficient CAC goals.
  • Develop and execute innovative brand, ecommerce, site merchandising, retail marketing, CRM, social media, PR and brand ambassador strategies that align with brand and business goals and priorities.
  • Develop strategic direction and oversee production of all marketing materials, such as mass email, site marketing, window signage, interior graphics and visuals, store & product packaging, and more.
  • Dive into analysis of customer insights to improve customer understanding, strengthen customer acquisition and retention efforts, enhance targeted marketing campaigns, and drive key business strategies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in a mid to high-level industry marketing position, ideally in DTC apparel e-commerce
  • Data-driven, technically competent detail-oriented, creative problem solver with a track record in performance marketing
  • Experience with managing and optimizing online marketing tactics and CRM with an emphasis on efficient spending to generate high ROI
  • Proficient in email marketing platforms like Klaviyo
  • Proficient in SMS marketing platforms like Attentive
  • Proficient in Meta ads
  • Proficient in Google ads and Google analytics
  • Familiarity with SEO
  • Familiarity in Photoshop and Canva a plus
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Outgoing and sociable
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
  • Detail oriented – organized – self-motivated
  • Must enjoy the outdoors! Familiarity with lifestyle, outdoor, and outdoor lifestyle brands is a huge plus
