Job Summary of the Group Account Director/ Head of Accounts position

Integr8staff seeks a proven leader and Group Account Director with a proven track record in championing marketing agendas, consumer marketing initiatives targeting the multicultural African American consumer markets. The Group Account Director will be able to strategically lead season-long planning, integrated advertising campaigns and driving brand thought leadership, as well as day-to-day internal account management for an award-winning and hyper growth focused advertising agency.

Responsibilities of the Group Account Director position

Oversee and lead targeted campaigns for a Fortune 100 client.

Strategically lead campaign and event planning and daily internal account management.

Serve as a coach and mentor to the account team providing guidance and support.

Be dialed into culture, understand cultural fluency, and have extensive experience working in an integrated marketing agency.

Build relationships with clients, serving as the primary contact with the client and stakeholders.

Understand how to effectively navigate corporate structure to provide strategic counsel and pitch recommendations to client.

Knowledge of multicultural audiences enhances your ability to effectively move campaigns forward that uplift and elevate culture.

Effectively provide strategic insights during development/planning and reporting.

Keep up to date on all competitive activity and new trends in the marketplace – especially within diversity segments.

You understand crisis management, adapt to last minute changes and know how to identify field issues and develop solutions.

Be ahead of the client, client campaigns and have the foresight to anticipate what your client needs.

Provide weekly status updates on program results/personnel, client program reporting and reviews.

Lead a staff of Challenge 3-5 in-house Account Supervisors, Managers & Coordinators.

Requirements of the Group Account Director position

8+ years of integrated marketing, advertising account management in a proven leadership capacity.

Bachelors Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field.

Multicultural marketing programs, specifically with African American and Hispanic consumers is preferred.

Must be service oriented, have polished, professional communications (oral and written) skills

Adaptability, excellent organizational, attention to detail, and communication skills are required

Provide a white glove service to clients while lending thought leadership, industry, product and brand understanding.

Display a high standards of client care and always providing helpful and strategic guidance.

Proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and requests, while solving problems independently.

Solid understanding of social media tools and digital platforms

Strong client communication skills (insight, analysis, and program reporting)

Client budget accountability and responsibility for growing the business

Experience in Telecommunications and Entertainment industries a plus.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Workamajig, Blogging and Social Media tools.

Must be available to work flexible work hours depending on deadlines and workflow.

May require attendance at events or shoots outside of standard work schedule.

Up to 25% Travel
