Job Summary:The Director of Business Events is responsible for the development and implementation of the business events strategy and distribution development activity to drive increased visitation, yield and dispersal from the North America business events sector. A key focus of this role will be building and maintaining strong business and personal relationships with key customers and stakeholders across the region, delivery of innovation distribution activity to demonstrate Australia’s business events offering, and the development of key partnerships for the business event sector, with a specific focus on both the association and incentive sectors.
Must HaveRequirements:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the business events market (incentive and association sectors), and the current distribution landscape in North America and Australia
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or tourism/events related discipline
- Ability to Implement general management practice
- Well-developed communication and presentation skill
- Negotiate at senior business level
- College Degree Required
- Minimum ten years in a similar business events role, formulating strategy and implementing business events programs across both incentive and association sectors.
- This role requires candidates to be based in Los Angeles, to work in the office a few times a week. Hybrid.
