We are seeking a Director of Business Development with a minimum of 8+ years of professional experience to be responsible for developing new business opportunities for our organization by growing its revenue, finding and developing new business opportunities, and expanding the Konnect Agency brand reputation profile within the CPG (food & beverage, lifestyle & family brands) & franchise & multi-unit industries.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities relevant or close to our industries
- Fulfills requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential partners and customers.
- Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t
- Manages key client/vendor/partnership relationships and works to build new ones
- Expands the profile and reach of the company and its brands
- Develops and strengthens internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share
- Tracks, researches, and identifies emerging markets, trends, and conferences
- Fosters and works to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams
- Identifies and recommends new services
- Proposes and develops strategic partnerships
- Helps to shape the company’s long-term business growth objectives and determine plans for how to meet them
- Identifies sponsorship opportunities, including nonprofit engagement
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field, MBA a plus
- 8+ years’ of sales or marketing experience
- Relationship management
