DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES | PALISOCIETY POSITION PROFILE: Palisociety is seeking a Director of Human Resources to work with the company’s portfolio of hotels by supporting each property with respect to employee relations, recruitment, and training. The Director would assist the Corporate Human Resources leadership to manager department objectives and programs across the portfolio and be an integral part of the growth and development of the Human Resources function within this growing and dynamic company. Our ideal candidate is an individual that is highly organized and forward thinking and is able to and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. This position will not only support the Corporate Human Resources Leadership will also work closely with Regional Operations Leadership and property level managers across the portfolio to support the company Human Resources goals and company culture. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of Human Resources management experience in the hospitality industry At least 2 years focused on training and development. Must be collaborative, approachable, and willing to travel to hotel properties as needed Superior communication and presentation skills are critical. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (tasks included but not limited to the following) : HR Functions and Projects: Supervise the maintenance of all employee records & files for all Hotel properties. Lead with the innovation of all HR processes to move toward more efficiencies in all areas of HR functionality. Assist with the development trainings & the preparation of training presentations. Assist with the management of the Corporate HR team and make sure all HR procedures and processes are efficient and effective Oversee the rollout and execution of annual Open Enrollment for Benefits with the Corp HR Manager. Employee Relations – Assist property level management staff with employee relations issues, working as a resource for staff and management teams regarding staff issues and employee counseling Assist with all ADP functions and updating of all system records which includes: On-boarding process, position or status changes, updating of employee information, termination processing. Manage the Employer branding on Job Site Listings Assist the Corporate Human Resources leadership with all HR tasks related to pre-opening training and onboarding, job fair organization and staff recruiting. Coordinate with the accounting team on any payroll related information, changes and audits. Be the main point of contact for employee questions and a resource for the operations management team. Manage the planning of employee functions and events as needed Assist department managers with training and implementing policies and procedures Assist with departmental administrative tasks and projects as assigned. Training and Recruiting Functions (include but are not limited to the following): Training: Participate in developing department training and recruiting goals, objectives, and systems, for all staff across the portfolio Assist with open enrollment and benefits training Assist department managers with training and implementing policies and procedures Assist with the creation and implementation of the training on work-place safety procedures in collaboration with operations leadership Manage all compliance training programs and track participation for all team members in collaboration with Department Managers. Assess training and development needs for the operations and help the operations leadership roll out training programs to meet the company goals. Present in-person training sessions in collaboration with Hotel Management teams Monitors training programs across the portfolio for effectiveness and make recommendations for adjustments as needed. Assist with the assessment of company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. Recruiting: Manage the processing of all new hires including preparing new hire documents, system processing, background checks, and new hire files. Prepare and present new hire orientations for the company portfolio either on-site or through web training. Assist the Corp HR Manager with the creation of job descriptions and job ads Work to manage sourcing, interviewing and employment processes making sure to focus on develop and execution of new recruitment strategies. Manage recruitment to ensure we hire qualified employees to meet the company’s current and future needs. Monitor the recruiting strategies used by the team to make sure the company is utilizing new trends in recruiting and implementing best industry practices. Focus on internal development with department managers to ensure that the company is focusing on the development of our internal staff through training and succession planning. REQUIREMENTS (Skills/Knowledge Required): Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Must possess a positive attitude and be service oriented. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize at a high level. Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and managerial organizational skills. Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word); ability to adapt to new technology and systems. Be hands-on, with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude. Work with minimal supervision. Must be available to travel to property locations as needed. EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Prior hospitality experience required.
