Hospital Laboratory Manager CLS

A not-for-profit hospital in southern California is searching for an Inpatient Laboratory Manager to join their exceptional team.

The Laboratory Manager will work for a 300+bed hospital. The medical center has been serving their community for a decade and are proud to provide high quality care to all. The hospital is a recipient of the Gold Award in Stroke Care.

Reporting to the Director of the Laboratory, the CLS Hospital Laboratory Manager also works with other laboratory staff to ensure quality standards are met in the Laboratory. The Lab Manager oversees 50 FTE’s. This candidate must have a CA License and be a Clinical Lab Scientist CLS (Medical Technologist, etc..), with 5 years’ experience working in a hospital lab, 2 year’s management experience, and a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.

Responsibilities for the Hospital Laboratory Manager include managing daily operations for the hospital laboratory, overseeing the quality and services of quality laboratory testing services, and supervising laboratory and Point of Care (POC) staff activities. The Clinical Lab Manager will also manage staff and will be doing the hiring, education, performance evaluations, promotions, transfers, and scheduling. Monitoring staff efficiencies is also a duty for the Clinical Lab Manager.
