Aon is looking for a Health Exchange Consultant (location flexible/virtual) Aon is looking for an Actuarial Consultant to serve clients within our private healthcare exchange, the Aon Active Health Exchange (AAHE). As part of our Exchanges business group within Aon you will help empower results for our clients and partners and deliver innovative and effective health care strategies. Your impact as a Health Exchange Actuarial Consultant Job Responsibilities: Assist existing AAHE clients with annual premium renewal process Consult prospective clients on financial feasibility and employer/employee impact of AAHE Interact with non actuarial consultants and broader AAHE team to meet client requests Data collection and review: feasibility studies; annual RFP process Financial modeling (including quality review) of medical and dental quoted rates vs. self-insured projections Initial bid analysis (including actuarial value modeling) to assist with the negotiation process Assistance with Defined Contribution modeling and subsidy development Implementation support to benefits administration teams Mentor and delegate work to other actuarial students as appropriate Seek and provide peer review to ensure high quality client deliverables Participation in Health & Benefits practice sponsored and external training, to grow consulting acumen Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires keeping up with multiple deadlines at the same time Work with the team to make metallic plan design recommendations, subsidy recommendations, set funding requirements for ASO clients, etc. Manages priorities, communicates potential delays, and delivers results on time Proactively accepts new projects when they become available Effectively communicates project results You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience: Health and Benefits/Welfare actuarial background Previous experience at a Human Resources Consulting firm, Outsourcing firm, Broker or Health Insurance Carrier Good communication skills, both written and oral Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Near ASA to FSA Client presentation skills required 5+ years actuarial work experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics, or related fields We offer you: A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
