The Associate Project Manager (APM) will assist with managing a portfolio of projects to support our exciting development of new products from conception to launch; including design, testing, packaging, and manufacturing.
Through the use of our project management system, Workfront, the APM will help build, maintain, and execute our project plans in order to hit our target product launch dates.The APM will work on the project management team and liaise with various levels and departments across the entire organization to ensure that these collaborative and interactive projects move forward.
Building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholder groups, including Category Management, Global Sourcing, Quality Assurance, and Forecasting, is a critical aspect of this role.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Support the development and management of project plans in our project management system with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones.Help to ensure that all material is prepared and complete with key internal groups prior to projects moving into the development phase.Evaluate and escalate project risks to the Project Manager.Analyze and resolve project roadblocks.Implement tasks and maintain unique project flows in the project management system.Stay closely tied to our Quality Assurance team to ensure the internal system matches their recommendations.Develop, analyze, surmise and make recommendations to management team for process improvement opportunities, ideas to accelerate projects, and other ways to improve the business and organization.Exercise judgment to prioritize and communicate to meet and exceed project deadlines and commitments.Identify critical tasks and makes decisions on appropriate prioritization.Meet with key stakeholders to proactively manage tasks.Build reports as specified by the Project Managers.Additional duties as assigned by management.Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.Scope (Required)Staff supervision and development — NoneOrganizational Scope – All US locationsDecision making Make recommendationsTravel – Less than 10%Location— HQ Corporate ( could be remote)RequirementsEducation (Required)Skills (Required)Detail oriented.Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)Ability to multitask and juggle competing deadlines and objectives.Flexible personality with the ability to deal with ambiguity and to think outside the box and provide a continuous flow of new ideas and process improvements.Strong interpersonal skills.
