Job Description
As the Growth Marketing Manager for Media and Entertainment, you are responsible for positioning Shopify’s enterprise products for media and content brands, and building highly targeted programs that drive revenue and growth across the entertainment industry.
You’re an incredibly high ownership marketer who can architect and execute innovative B2B marketing programs across Shopify’s product portfolio, including Shopify Plus, Shopify POS, and merchant services.
You’re familiar with the entertainment industry with professional experience working in the film, television, music, podcasts, publishing, digital media, news, or gaming industries.
This is a highly entrepreneurial role on a new marketing team at Shopify where velocity is everything.
The Solutions Marketing team is a team of builders who love taking on new challenges and scaling marketing programs from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

Design, launch, and scale verticalized marketing campaigns across Shopify Plus, Shopify POS, and merchant services

Uncover the highest value segments for Shopify’s products through deep research and experimentation
-
Collaborate closely with sales and partner teams on a daily basis to build new marketing programs for high value audiences

Position and package Shopify’s products based on merchant verticals
-
Own the performance and growth of specific enterprise merchant segments on Shopify
-
Become an industry and product expert who is a key player in strategic deals with merchants and partners
Qualifications
You are:
-
Someone who loves talking to customers and to sales teams
-
Experienced in building acquisition campaigns from concept to execution across a broad range of marketing channels

Experienced in the film, television, music, podcasts, publishing, digital media, news, or gaming industries

Experienced in leading design and content resources

Comfortable getting hands-on with acquisition channels as needed, ie.
writing landing page copy, setting up email drips—anything a campaign might call for

Someone who loves to build marketing programs from the ground up, and has a proven track record of doing so

A creative thinker with demonstrated ability finding audience-specific channels for reaching prospects

Someone with an experimental mindset who is not afraid of ambiguity and passionate about testing and learning

Familiar with targeting enterprise audiences in a sales-driven environment

Incredibly self-motivated

Experienced working in or with B2B SaaS sales teams to build acquisition campaigns

Confident working with platforms like Marketo, Salesforce, and ExactTarget

Familiar with Shopify’s range of products and the retail industry

A dynamic communicator comfortable selling ideas to senior leaders
