Position Summary The Group Director of Global Partnerships is a senior client leadership role, managing global/regionals paid media partnerships for Amazon Prime Video. The GD must act as the global leader, with investment and partnerships expertise, driving excellence and quality solutions to deliver the most strategic, innovative, and value-driven partnerships. This role is an integral part of the day to day, as part of the core leadership team, bringing marketplace knowledge, media trends, and insights to every conversation, keeping everyone smart on what’s going on, and also future forward thinking POVs, positions we should take, what to lock in, where to look for innovation, create/invent a roadmap for what partnerships should look like. Key Responsibilities Client Act as a catalyst for innovation & experimentation that drives cutting edge partnership solutions Global and digital-first mindset set with solid understanding of all media channels Partner with Strategy, Investment and Business leaders to build outstanding relationships with clients based on trust, advocacy in the marketplace and a clear understanding of clients’ business objectives. Articulate and synthesize various trends and behaviors emerging in the marketplace to ensure our teams make them real in recommendations to clients. Provide strong POVs to clients with rationale and data aligned to their marketing and business objectives Have a strong understanding of the Amazon Prime Video’s business including offers, new product launches and competitive set Elevate media partner relationships to drive client opportunities, first looks, break through barriers, etc. Internal Inspire teams to push boundaries and exhibit the core behaviors of Initiative Ensure teams are regularly applying best in class tools and processes to deliver recommendations that drive client KPI’s and business objectives Hands on leadership to ensure flawless execution with key operational processes including but not limited to: o Stewardship of global deals, spend tracking, forecasting, added value benefits o Working with country and regional teams on implementation Facilitate “intelligent investment” techniques across partner evaluation, partnership development, negotiation, and stewardship, in order to deliver maximum strategic value and efficiency. Institute stewardship / optimization techniques to drive constant and regular improvement. Ensure proper briefings and updates to global partners Educate your teams and your peers through formal Initiative training and via peer to peer training programs. Facilitate self-education through industry events, cross-training and rotational opportunities, and regular consumption and dialogue around industry news and developments. Active engagement with MAGNA council to develop marketplace approach, support partnerships Commercial Ensure alignment and execution of the Amazon Prime Video commercial agreement including pricing, staffing and KPIs for success Facilitate organic growth opportunities with clients not only for Initiative, but across IPG MB Support and collaborate with all MB SBU’s for maximum effectiveness and seamless integration onto client business Support MAGNA aggregate negotiations across all media channels Desired Skills & Experience 10 years’ experience managing investment/partnerships 2 years of global experience and knowledge Developed, negotiated, and managed global paid media partnerships Digital-first experience with solid knowledge across channels Streaming category experience and knowledge Strong operational capabilities Passion for and experience with instituting “go to market” strategies on behalf of clients Experience developing client solutions with an understanding of the unique (and combined) roles played by different channels within an overall communications program Strong media marketplace knowledge and understanding of what drives the most successful agreements between media partners, clients and agencies High level sales and marketing relationships with all major global partners Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, to make an impact on their business, and to showcase the talent and accomplishments of your entire team(s) Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Exceptional management, organizational and responsiveness skills LI-DNI Wage and Benefits We offer a Total Rewards package that includes medical and dental coverage, 401(k) plans, flex spending, life insurance, disability, employee discount program, employee stock purchase program and paid family benefits to support you and your family. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
