General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:The General Manager with The ONE Group is responsible for leading, educating, motivating and energizing the team to be the BEST restaurant in every market we operate by delivering exceptional and unforgettable guest experiences to every guest every time!

This position is also responsible for the entire operation and financial performance of the restaurant and/or outlets.

The GM must be able to clearly distill information to staff and Director of Operations.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations ManagementManage, lead and mentor Managers and StaffEnsure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels through proper execution of the sequence of service and high energyMaintain overall vision
– business and marketing objectivesDevelop risk management and mitigation strategiesRepresent The ONE Group in investigating, answering, and settling grievancesMaintain all corporate mandatesUpdate and track daily reportsStaffing and Team DevelopmentAnalyze staffing requirements, develop iteration plans, and assess opportunities for future growthInterview, screen, and recruit job applicantsCoach, train and develop management and hourly staffResponsible for Team performance
– morale, productivity, energyManage regular review of performance for Management and Hourly staff within the Performance Management guidelinesDemonstrate a positive example.

No consumption of alcoholFiscal ResponsibilityMonitor activities and expensesSet and monitor sales forecasts and profitability reportsKeep Director of Operations informed of sales and key issuesIncreasing sales through marketing, networking and incentives for staff to raise guest check averageMaintains budgeted revenues, cost of sales (COS), labor, supplies and operating cash flow (OCF).

Reviews monthly profit and loss statement and acts on all variancesHave oversight of the beverage program and liaise with Beverage Director on all changes, mandates and controls of beverage costsMarketing & Guest RelationsDevelops new marketing ideas and concepts with Marketing teamMaintain relationships with “regulars”, VIPs, influencers and key people in the industryQUALIFICATIONS/PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 8 years professional hospitality experience; ideally in venues exceeding $10 millionExpert knowledge of all Restaurant computer systemsExcellent management, delegation and presentation skillsStrong influence, interpersonal, leadership, managerial, communication, problem solving and creative solution generation skillsA strong financial acumen and proven ability to successful manage budgets and P
