Job Purpose: The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing sourcing and production in two or more global regions.
Deliverables: Execute short and long range sourcing and production plans to ensure profit growth and expansion of team products Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors in global sourcing and manufacturing site to maximize productivity and minimize the effects of competitive activity ?
Plan and oversee teams development and production activities Communicate with the branch offices in manufacturing site on quality assurance and new vendor/ factory sourcing Work with designers and artists to source and develop new materials and garment samples Recommend cost strategy for the organization Develop quality control and improvement methods for products including quality systems, statistical control chart procedures, process capabilities, acceptance sampling plans, and textile processes Recommend ways to improve sourcing and product development processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities Interview, hire, and train employees Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related degree required Must have 10 years of experience in sourcing Must possess a full understanding of garment construction including pattern, fit, and sewing details Must have firm understanding of various fabric types and how each fabric type applies to different products Must be familiar with international merchandise costs Must be able to develop sourcing strategies based on the companys demographic, buying capacity plans, and different product categories such as apparel, accessories, shoes, bags, and cosmetics Must have full understanding of social compliance standards for supply chains to minimize risk to the companyWhat we Expect Customer Obsession; you know who your customer is and working in service to them is working in service to our end consumer.
