Anajak is a small, family owned and operated Thai restaurant in Sherman Oaks currently looking to fill the position of FOH Manager.
Old school roots meet new school techniques on a dynamic menu with strong emphasis on an ever-growing wine program. Services are kept upbeat and interesting with a range of dining experiences throughout the week. A rowdy Thai Taco Tuesday and an elevated Omakase menu round out the restaurant’s reputation for a variety of dishes and styles with consistently excellent execution, great service, and a notable playlist at all times.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 2+ years management experience in a fast-paced, high energy environment (Thai experience a plus!).
* Professional, positive, punctual, and friendly – a team player with a “get it done” attitude.
* Confidence in leading a team and retaining staff with growth opportunities and continued learning.
* Confidence in HR mainstays like hiring, terminations, and corrective actions.
* The ability to pick things up quickly and retain information completely.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Competency in POS Systems (Toast).
* Knowledge of Reservation Software (Resy).
* Excellent working food and wine knowledge – the more, the better!
* A genuine love for hospitality and service, as well as respect for the process and the details.
* The ability to stand for long hours, bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* The ability to multitask while staying calm under pressure.
* Confidence in taking directions and executing effectively.
* The ability to provide thoughful feedback to ownership on service, staff, etc.
Job responsibilites include, but are not limited to:
* Scheduling staff.
* Leading daily pre-shift with necessary information as well as thoughful service points.
* Helping handle invoices, food and beverage costs, labor goals, payroll.
* HR management for necessary corrective actions, hires, terminations, etc.
* Filling in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
* Assisting in the set up and break down of the restaurant for service.
* Ensuring guest satisfaction and service standards are being met.
* Managing reservations on Resy to ensure maximum bookings without detriment to service.
* Adhering to service, food, sanitary, and safety standards and protocols via Servsafe guidelines and other SOP’s. Manager level food handler’s card required.
* Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with repeat guests and regulars.
* Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
* Working nights, weekends, and some holidays.
