Floor Manager

Exciting West Coast debut of a highly lauded seafood concept is looking to bring on an energetic, polished Floor Manager to help lead their team! Hailing from the East Coast, this already wildly popular restaurant brings an exciting new experience to Los Angeles – featuring delicious fresh seafood, unique cocktails, and an expertly-curated wine list. A warm floor presence and great guest relations is imperative. Any bar/beverage program experience a huge plus. Floor Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the FOH team
  • Maintain, support, and promote company culture and philosophies
  • Take initiative and help to build business
  • Contribute to controlling costs and maximizing efficiencies
  • Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Organize wine cellar
  • Provide an excellent guest experience and resolve all guest issues
  • Hold the team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
  • Ensure the team is well educated on the menu items
  • Hire, train, motivate and coach team members
  • Assess employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities
  • Understand and comply with CA labor laws

Floor Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years as a Restaurant Manager, Floor Manager, Floor Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, Service Manager, Dining Room Manager, FOH Manager or comparable hospitality management role in an upscale restaurant concept
  • Any bar/beverage program experience highly preferred
  • Passion for food and beverage
  • Basic understanding of administrative functions and controlling cost of goods
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to guests and support to staff members
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft office
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
  • Food safety certification
