Executive Vice President of Operations
Our client is seeking an EVP of Operations to oversee various business
leaders within the organization, as well as assist in the process of scaling and growing the business.
This individual will also initially be responsible for running the freight division as well.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader and have the ability to work across all areas of the company.

Responsibilities
Oversee 90-100 direct reports including various business leaders (GM Brokerage, GM of Consulting, GM of Freight Forwarding, & Client integration team).
Actively coach, motivate, hire, train and discipline as needed.
Develop and execute strategic plans for the business unit which will drive optimal profitability.
Clearly communicate organizational goals to management; support allocation of resources as needed in order to meet objectives.
Actively measure the success of each department within the business unit.
Effectively delegate to ensure commitment to overall strategy.
Establish and ensure operational implementation and compliance with processes and procedures for handling the freight product.
Experience
5+ years of Management Experience at Freight Forwarder or similar environment, with demonstrated leadership progression Previous experience working with the Asian trade lane is required Previous experience working with air & ocean freight, specifically imports Strategic background
– Has the ability to work across all areas of the company Transferrable Freight Forwarding network is a plus Previous experience working with carriers and steamship lines Previous experience scaling / growing an organization Strategic leader/thinker Demonstrated ability to effectively manage employee, vendor and customer relationships Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills Team-oriented and inspirational leader; take initiative and lead by example
