nn nnThe Executive Director will lead clinical operations of the service line, as well as serving as a strategic member in the development and implementation of strategic plans in patient care, employee engagement, organizational development, change management, human capital management, physician engagement, financial management and program delivery.

In this capacity, the Executive Director is responsible for the physician and programmatic expansion and is accountable for quality of service, efficiency and effectiveness of the operations.nn nnThe Executive Director provides leadership and communicates a vision that results in the achievement of superior clinical and financial outcomes while attaining performance management goals for the Kerlan-Jobe Institute including focusing efforts on patient and staff satisfaction.

Ensures high accountability for achieving goals and desired outcomes including; patient and staff satisfaction, quality outcomes, financial performance, regulatory readiness and growth.

In addition, the Executive Director will create a continuous learning environment for staff, physicians and fellows with a focus on inter-professional education, evidenced-based practice, team-based learning, professional growth, and autonomous function which results in improved satisfaction, teamwork and outcomes for patients and staff.

Stimulate innovative thinking to accomplish objectives. nn nnThis leader must respond to market and environmental forces which have a significant impact on the delivery of services, developing an effective response to these forces and collaborate with other leaders within KJI, the Medical Network and the Health System in order to achieve the overall organizational strategic mission and objectives. nn nnThe KJI Executive Director is expected to lead in a manner that reflects the organization’s mission, vision and values and incorporate such into daily interaction with peers, employees, physicians and patients.nn nn Primary Duties and Responsibilities: n
• In collaboration with executive management and medical directors, identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the practice while maintaining high standards of quality patient care.n
• Direct the overall operations strategy of the patient care programs and services and ensure effective communication and coordination of services.n
• Implement standardized policies, procedures and processes across sites to achieve reduction in overall variability in care processes.

Initiate and implement workflow modifications and process improvements to reduce variability in care processes across sites.n
• Oversee the operations to include financial management, physician relations and staff management.

Scope of responsibility encompasses physicians, allied health professionals and staff across diverse medical and surgical specialties.n
• Provide direction and leadership in the design and implementation of new and innovative models of care and the supporting technologies that improve efficiency, quality, patient satisfaction and physician satisfaction.n
• Engage in other operational activities in support of the strategic plans of the organization.n
• Promote the concept of the patient care team, synthesizing the needs and activities of clinical and administrative staff and physicians with a focus on the patient experience.n
• Work collaboratively with Medical Network and Health System department leaders to maximize clinical performance, minimize risk, and assist KJI in achieving its goals; Provide direction and leadership to new implementations and process improvements.n
• Responsible for the development of operating wage, non-wage and capital budgets in accordance with the budgetary guidelines.

Provide leadership to management team in the development of site budgets and tracking against goals.n
• Direct and manage KJI goals and objectives in the following areas: employee engagement, organizational development, change management, human capital management, and physician engagementn
• Collaborate with Cedars-Sinai leaders to develop and implement clinically and fiscally sound programs, goals and objectives; Implement programmatic changes in respond to trends in market demand, research and clinical practice.n nn nn Education: nn Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related degree, healthcare required Master’s in Business Administration preferred nn Experience: nn 7 years experience working in a leadership capacity in the healthcare industry preferred Working Title: Executive Director, Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute Operations Department: Kerlan-Jobe Park Terrace Business Entity: Medical Network Foundation nnCedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
