We are looking for someonetruly versatile.As Executive Assistant to the President of LA & NY, youll be responsible for maintaining a critical and ever-changing, fast-paced schedule while supervising, managing, and motivating team members on a daily basis.Youll need to utilize your excellent leadership and communication skills, and be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaborations across all of US Business.What Youll Be Doing.This role is a combination of heavy administrative and creative duties with a willingness for increased responsibilities.Managing the President of LA & NYs extensive schedules in Microsoft Office and MS Teams.Acting as a liaison to the NY & LA Recorded marketing team, US Publishing team, and US Catalogue teams.Performing clerical duties, setting meetings, taking comprehensive notes, maintaining music and repertoire reports, weekly departmental report and the creation and organization of documents.Preparing, editing, and creating Powerpoint presentations and creative decks for potential and active clients.Producing and editing of creative sizzle reels and visual movie presentations.Handling confidential information; creation, implementation and organizing files, reports, and artist deals.Planning/organizing events such as business luncheons, studio visits, client dinners, staff meetings, staff events and parties.Arranging travel, accommodation, itineraries, and all correspondence related to domestic and international travel as needed.Must be comfortable and available working and scheduling across global time zones.Preparing information and research for executive needs.Will help plan company events, meetings, and employee team building activities or special projects.Careful planning of monthly global management meeting among international and domestic offices.Must-HavesPrevious experience as an Executive Assistant for a senior executive.Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, MS Teams); scheduling appointments/updating calendars a must.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to concentrate on multiple problems/tasks at once.A profound understanding of how to eloquently handle the needs of artists, management and attorneys.Track record of arranging appropriate gifts for high-profile clients and artists as well as providing restaurant and event recommendations.Ability to create healthy working relationships among support staff across all global offices.Excellent time management and prioritization skills.Ability to be confidential and discreet.Nice-to-HeavesPrior experience in the music or entertainment industry.Proficient creative computer skills, including Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Garageband, iMovie);Knowledge of legendary music catalogues as well as modern up-and-coming artists/musicians.Willingness to understand recorded music and publishing deal types and structures.Knowledge of music driven documentary films, books and television series.An enthusiastic approach towards innovative marketing ideas and concepts.Understanding of the music industry marketplace in terms of DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music etc.) as well as social media platform trends (Instagram, Tiktok etc.)Whats In It For You.Robust medical/dental/vision packagesTwo weeks vacation in year one; three weeks vacation in year two$500 fitness reimbursementDiverse possibilities of personal and professional development including trainings and access to Lynda.comDollar for dollar match of up to 6% into 401(k) after your first year with the companyA fun and respectful community of people with a passion for musicAbout BMG.BMG is a new kind of music company.
