We’re seeking to hire an Exclusives Manager* for our Los Angeles office, who will build and establish our new Exclusives Program.
This individual will focus on strategically signing outstanding creators and webcomics to our platform and ensuring long term growth and success for the series within the program.
The perfect candidate has a deep appreciation for serialized storytelling, can identify future hit stories and talent, loves interacting with and advocating for creators and creatives, while being highly motivated and organized.
What You’ll Do:
Building and establishing our new Exclusives Program Finding and signing high performing talent within our community as well as outside of it Having an intimate knowledge of webcomic content, being able to identify outstanding talent and strong storytelling with ancillary possibilities Being a strong advocate for Tapas and our independent creator community Collaborating with the marketing teams efficiently, providing series with as much visibility as possible Working with Business Development team to establish ancillary opportunities Managing ongoing needs of published series, keeping a schedule and constant communication with creators Understanding contract terms and how the Exclusives program works in conjunction with other monetary programs for the community Hiring and training a team as the program grows
What We’re Looking For:
5 to 7 years of solid work experience in a content acquisition, licensing, or business development role with the ability to manage relationships with artists and agents Being highly motivated and growth oriented Outstanding communication skills, spoken and written Having a deep appreciation for serialized storytelling and art Highly organized and efficient.
Able to establish priorities, schedules and sticking to deadlines.
Webcomic experience is a Plus Passion and empathy for independent creators and digital publishing
